About this itinerary

Five nights built around the reefs and the quiet island, skipping busy Havelock entirely. Three nights in Port Blair take in the Cellular Jail, Ross Island and North Bay, and a full day out to Jolly Buoy, the clearest coral water near town.

Then two nights on Neil slow everything down: the Laxmanpur sunset, the calm swimming at Bharatpur and the Natural Bridge at low tide. It suits travellers who want corals and calm rather than the Havelock crowds.

Before you travel

  • Day 1 stays in Port Blair, so a morning or early afternoon landing from the mainland works best. Island transfers and day trips run to fixed timings confirmed with you in advance.
  • Ferry tickets are included and held once your trip is confirmed: the Port Blair to Neil and Neil to Port Blair ferries. Ferries open bookings 60 to 90 days out and morning slots fill first.
  • Jolly Buoy sits in the Mahatma Gandhi Marine National Park and needs a permit arranged from Wandoor. It opens only in the drier months, roughly November to May, and is a plastic-free zone, so carry nothing disposable.
  • Ross Island and North Bay are reached by government harbour boat from the Water Sports Complex, with tickets and the forest fee arranged locally. Ross Island is closed on Wednesdays.
  • The Cellular Jail and its museum are closed on Mondays and national holidays, with a lunch break from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM. The Light and Sound show runs in English on Monday, Wednesday and Friday at about 6:50 PM and in Hindi on other nights from about 5:50 PM. Non-professional camera charges are about Rs 200 per camera.
  • The Natural Bridge on Neil is a low-tide sight, so the visit is timed to the tide on the day and may shift between morning and afternoon.
  • Breakfast is included as per itinerary. Any meal not listed for a day is payable directly.
  • Carry cash for water sports and site payments, as card and online payments are often unavailable.
