Is Neil Island or Havelock better?
Neil is quieter, flatter and cheaper. Havelock has bigger beaches like Radhanagar, more dive schools and more nightlife. Most of our guests do both, usually two nights in Havelock and one in Neil.
How do you get around Neil Island?
The island is small and flat. Bicycles cost ₹400 to ₹800 a day, scooters ₹500 to ₹700 a day, and a full-day sightseeing cab runs from about ₹1,500.
How do you reach Neil Island?
Only by ferry. Private air-conditioned ferries such as Makruzz, Nautika and Green Ocean run from Port Blair in about 1.5 to 2 hours and cost roughly ₹1,000 to ₹1,500 one way. Government ferries are cheaper but sell out early, so book ahead.
