Detailed Itinerary(7 Nights and 8 Days)

3 Nights Port Blair (Sri Vijaya Puram) – 1 Night Baratang — 2 Nights Havelock (Swaraj Dweep) – 1 Night Neil Island (Shaheed Dweep)

Airport Pickup: Our tour coordinator will welcome you at Port Blair airport and provide pick up and drop from the airport to the hotel. After reaching the hotel, check in and retreat to your room. Later, our tour coordinator will pick you up from the hotel and begin sightseeing. 

Note: 

The standard check in time Port Blair hotel is between 2:00 PM – 3:00 PM 

The estimated transfer time from the airport to the hotel in Port Blair is 20-25 minutes. 

All transfers are in a private and spacious car. 

At Cellular Jail: Explore the architecture and design of the infamous colonial prison Cellular Jail aka Kala Pani. The jail was notorious for its solitary confinements and inhumane conditions in which prisoners were kept. Through exhibits and displays, you will learn about the atrocities faced by the prisoners of Cellular Jail. 

Tea Break: After Cellular Jail exploration, refresh yourself with a cup of tea and watch the beautiful views of the sunset and the sea.   

Light & Sound Show: In the evening, settle down for the Light & Sound show that narrates the history of Cellular Jail and miserable plight of the inmates, along with India’s struggle for independence. As the name suggests, the show uses gripping storytelling, effective laser lighting and dramatic sound effects to narrate about the history of the place.

Please Note:

1. Cellular Jail is closed on Mondays and national holidays. 
2. Closed for Lunch Break: 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM.
3. Light & Sound Show Timings: 5:50 PM (Hindi) & 6:50 PM (English)
4. (Non-professional) Camera charges: INR 200/- per camera.

Return to Hotel: After Cellular Jail and the Light & Sound Show, you will be dropped-off at the hotel. 

Overnight stay in Port Blair.

Meal Included: Lunch

Early Morning: Our tour coordinator will pick you up from the hotel early in the morning for a road trip to Baratang Island with a Parrot Island Trip. 

Baratang Island: Starting from Jirkatang check post, our convoy will cross through Jarawa Tribal Reserve. The distance between Port Blair to Baratang Island is 102 kms.  Please note that photography while crossing the tribal reserve is not allowed.

Sightseeing in Baratang: Get on a boat and cross through mangrove creek where you will spot tropical birds. At the end of the boat ride, you will reach the trail point where you will begin trekking. Soon after, you will arrive at Baratang’s Limestone Cave where you can watch the intriguing stalactites and stalagmites formation.

Travel Tips: 

• Wear strong sturdy shoes and keep your feet firmly on the ground while inside the cave.
• Listen to the instructions of the guide/coordinator while exploring the cave. 
• Always use a steady flashlight as there could be fruit bats inside the cave. 
• Carry an insect/mosquito repellent with you. 

Mud Volcanoes of Baratang: Another fascinating site to explore on Baratang Island is the mud volcanoes. These peculiar volcanoes expel a compound of mud, gas, and hot water to the surface. 

Towards Parrot Island (3 PM – 3:15 PM): Taking a boat ride, we will go towards Parrot island, a peaceful sanctuary where you can enjoy nature and spot native and exotic birds along with many parrots. 

Overnight stay in Baratang: Return to hotel for an overnight stay in Baratang island. 

Meal Included: Lunch

Morning: Have breakfast at the hotel and check out from the property. We will leave for Port Blair and on our way have a stopover at Baludera Beach.

At Baludera Beach: An offbeat beach with pristine beauty with fallen trees and mangroves. The beach is free from tourists roads and exudes tranquillity. Enjoy a beach walk or click photos before we proceed to Port Blair. 

Towards Port Blair: We will move from Baratang to Port Blair crossing the Middle Andamans. The estimated transfer time is around 6 to 7 hours. 

Overnight Stay in Port Blair.

Meal Included: Breakfast

Morning: Our tour coordinator will pick you from the hotel and transfer you to Haddo/Phoenix Bay Jetty for Havelock island trip. 

Note 1: The morning cruise from Port Blair to Havelock starts at 7:30 AM for which you have to depart the hotel at 6:00 am – 6:30 am. If you want to take a later ferry from Port Blair to Havelock Island, then post booking, contact our team and we will try our best to accommodate your request. The timing of government ferry service is at 6:20 AM and 2:00 PM. 

At Haddo/Phoenix Bay: Board the ferry, settle down and enjoy the views of the beautiful sea as you cruise from Port Blair towards Haveclok. 

Note 2: The estimated travel time to reach Havelock from Port Blair is between 1.5 to 2.5 hours. Transfer time may also vary depending on sea conditions or weather.

Arrive in Havelock Island: Our on-ground staff will welcome you at the Havelock Jetty and transfer to your hotel. Check in at the hotel and relax in your room. 

Sunset at Radhanagar Beach: In the late afternoon, visit Radhanagar Beach, recognized as one of the best beaches in Asia by the Time Magazine. Here, you will watch a stunning sunset and experience the coastal beauty of this beautiful beach. 

Sunset timing at Radhanagar Beach: 5:00 PM – 5:20 PM

Photography: Get professional complimentary beach photoshoot of yourself at Radhanagar Beach. Photography at any other place on Havelock Island will be charged.

Back to hotel: Our tour coordinator will transfer you back to the hotel to rest and relax.

Overnight stay in Havelock Island

Morning: Get ready for a beach adventure with a trip to Elephant Beach. You will receive pick up and transfer from the hotel to Havelock Jetty. From there, board a boat and cruise to Elephant Beach. The estimated travel time to reach Elephant Beach is 35 minutes. 

At Elephant Beach: The beautiful crescent-shaped Elephant Beach has soft and smooth white sands, crystal-clear waters, and rich coral belts. Get your free snorkelling session and dive in to explore the wonderful marine life. You will spot hard and soft corals that are visible at a depth of 1-2 meters as you dive into the water. Apart from snorkeling, you can enjoy other water activities at extra charges.

 Note

• Complimentary activities like snorkelling cannot be transferred to another day. No refund will be provided for complimentary activities, if not availed. 
• Keep your personal items like wallet, phone, cash, clothes etc in a safe place like a locker (available on Elephant Beach) 
• Complimentary activity (snorkelling) cannot be exchanged for any other activity. Carry cash in a waterproof bag for locker rentals, accessing changing rooms etc. The Internet might not be available to make digital payments.

Return to hotel: After having a joyful day at Elephant Beach, return to the hotel for an overnight stay. 

Overnight Stay in Havelock Island 

Meal Included: Breakfast

Morning: Have breakfast at the hotel and transfer to Havelock Jetty. You will cruise towards Neil Island (Shaheed Dweep). The estimated transfer time between Havelock Island to Neil Island is 1.5 – 2 hours depending on weather and sea conditions. 

Neil Island: Our tour coordinator will welcome you at the Neil jetty and transfer you to the hotel. Check in and refresh yourself in the room. Later, you will receive a pick up from the hotel and begin your sightseeing tour. 

Natural Rock Formation (Howrah Bridge): Explore the stunning attraction of Neil Island ie.  Natural Bridge or Howrah Bridge. The structure is made of dead corals and limestone and its current shape has been formed by the relentless pressure of sea waves and winds. Click photos around it and spot marine creatures thriving in ponds near the natural bridge. 

Please note that Howrah Bridge is only accessible during low tide. If the tides are high, we will head to Laxmanpur Beach no. 1. 

Things to Know about Natural Rock Formation
– You can spot marine life like colorful fish, corals, starfishes, and crabs in the small circular ponds.  

– The rocks can be slippery, so keep your feet firmly on the ground. 

– Wear shoes with a strong grip, and if possible wear waterproof shoes. 

Sunset at Laxmanpur Beach No. 1:Then we move to Laxmanpur Beach No. 1. To watch a beautiful sunset. During the golden hours, the beach gets crowded so make sure to find a spot to watch the sunset. The timing of the sunset is between 5:15 pm to 5:20 pm. After sunset, our tour representative will drop you off at the hotel.

Overnight stay in Neil Island 

Meal Included: Breakfast

Morning: Enjoy breakfast at the hotel and depart for Bharaptur Beach, known for its tropical beauty, coral reefs, and variety of watersports. 

At Bharatpur Beach: On Bharatpur Beach, walk  on the soft white sand and click photos of yourself. You can also try water activities like kayaking, parasailing, snorkelling, and glass bottom boat ride. (payable directly by you.)

Cruise to Port Blair: Check out from the hotel and transfer to Neil Jetty.  Board the cruise and depart for Port Blair. The estimated transfer time is 1.5 to 2 hours. 

Arrive in Port Blair: Our tour representative in Port Blair will pick you up from  Phoenix Bay Jetty. You can then go toAberdeen Bazaar for a shopping trip. 

At Aberdeen Bazaar: Look for unique souvenirs in Andaman’s Aberdeen Bazaar. The most commonly bought souvenirs are shell jewelleries, organic spices, tribal masks, etc.

Hotel Drop-off: Our tour coordinator will drop you off at the hotel for the night stay. 

Overnight stay in Port Blair 

Meal Included: Breakfast

Morning: Have breakfast at the hotel and check out from the hotel. Please note that hotels have an early check out. If your flight is delayed or scheduled in the afternoon, you have to keep your luggage in the lobby or reception area. 

Airport Drop-off: Our tour coordinator will offer you a seamless transfer to the airport. We wish you a safe and wonderful return back home. The estimated transfer time from the hotel to the airport is within 30 minutes.

Important Note LTC Reimbursement 

1. Hotel and food expenses are not eligible for reimbursement under LTC (Leave Travel Concession).

2. Please book your flight only through Ashoka Travels or Balmer Laurie to ensure eligible for LTC reimbursement. 

3. If you plan to claim LTC, use government ferry services for inter-island travel in Andaman Island. However, in some cases, reimbursement for private ferry tickets is generally allowed. You will need to submit the original hard copy of the ticket to your office/government department.
