Detailed Itinerary(8 Nights and 9 Days)

3 Nights Port Blair (Sri Vijaya Puram) — 2 Nights Diglipur — 2 Nights Havelock Island (Swaraj Dweep) — 1 Night Neil Island (Shaheed Dweep)

Airport Pickup: Welcome to Port Blair! Get a swift hotel transfer by our tour coordinator. Check in your hotel and proceed to relax in your room. The estimated transfer time from Port Blair airport to the hotel is within 30 minutes.

Note: 

The standard check in time Port Blair hotel is between 2:00 PM – 3:00 PM 

All transfers are in a private and spacious car. 

At Cellular Jail: Explore the famous historic site, Cellular Jail in Port Blair. The jail has 696 solitary confinement cells where prisoners were kept in brutal conditions. The jail has a museum, library, and art gallery through which you can learn about the history of the monument. 

Tea Break: Enjoy a cup of tea and take in the beautiful views of the sunset and the sea.   

Light & Sound Show: Watch an engaging Light & Sound show that uses effective use of narration and storytelling to retell the history of Cellular Jail and life of the inmates here.

Please Note:

1. Cellular Jail is closed on Mondays and national holidays. 
2. Closed for Lunch Break: 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM.
3. Light & Sound Show Timings: 5:50 PM (Hindi) & 6:50 PM (English)
4. (Non-professional) Camera charges: INR 200/- per camera.

Return to Hotel: After Cellular Jail and the Light & Sound Show, you will be dropped-off at the hotel.

Early Morning (4:00 – 5:00 AM): Today, start your day early for Diglipur Island trip from Port Blair. Our tour coordinator will pick you up from the hotel and transfer to Diglipur with Baratang Island. 

Things to Know

• The first stopover will be at  Barantang Island, which is approximately 100 kms from Port Blair. The transfer time varies from 4 hours 45 minutes to 5 hours.
• Continuing our journey from Baratang Island, we will reach Diglipur Island, which is 8 to 9 hours. 
• Carry some snacks and drinks for your journey. 

Towards Baratang Island: Starting from Port Bair, we will first reach Jirkatang Check Post. which is the gateway to enter the Jarawa Tribal Reserve. Crossing through jungles, we will reach the jetty. From there, you will take a boat and pass through the mangrove creeks and reach the trekking trail point. 

Limestone Caves: Trek towards the Limestone Caves which have stalactite and stalagmite rock formation. Afterwards, resume your journey to Diglipur Island. 

The estimated travel time from Baratang Island to Diglipur Island is 8 to 9 hours. 

Arrive at Hotel: Complete your check in process and rest in your room. 

Overnight stay in Diglipur Island

Morning: Today, you will be visiting the famous attraction around Diglipur which is Twin Islands (Ross & Smith Island). So make sure to have breakfast before we leave for Aerial Bay.  

At Aerial Bay: Get on a boat and cruise towards Ross & Smith Island. It is 20 kms from Diglipur and takes about 30 – 35 minutes to reach. 

At Ross & Smith Islands: Welcome to Twin Islands – Ross & Smith. They are connected by a sliver of sandbar that is visible during low tides. The islands have lush greenery, crystal-clear waters. During the low tide, you can walk on the connecting sandbar. The underwater marine life around these islands are just as beautiful. Top activities to do at the Twin Islands are sunbathing, swimming/snorkelling (in the shallow sections), and beach walks. 

Note: 

• If you plan to snorkel, carry your own gear. There aren’t any commercial stores or vendors on Ross & Smith Islands. 
• If you don’t feel confident about swimming or snorkelling without a guide or an instructor, please avoid it.
• There aren’t any restaurants, cafes or beach shacks on the Islands, so carry your own refreshments. 
• A few bamboo huts and changing rooms are available for visitors.

Kalipur Beach (3 PM): Depart for Kalipur Beach, a secluded and tranquil beach to visit in Diglipur. Enjoy a beach walk and take in its tropical beauty. The beach is also a site for turtle nesting. Spot turtles species like Leatherback, Hawksbill, Green, and Olive Ridley.

Note: 

1. Kalipur Beach isn’t commercialised yet, it’s rather a nesting site for turtles. The best time for watching turtles on Kalipur Beach is from October to March.
2. Kalipur Beach is 17 km apart from Diglipur Island and estimated travel time is 40 to 50 minutes.

Evening: Get transferred back to the resort in Diglipur for an overnight stay. 

Meal Included: Breakfast

Morning: Have breakfast and check out from the property. We will first go to Morrice Dera Beach which is near Mayabunder. It has twin rocks formation, a walkway and is overall a great place to relax and enjoy nature. 

Towards Port Blair: Then we will continue the journey to Rangat, Baratang Island, Jarawa Tribal Reserve, and finally reach Port Blair. We will have stopovers enroute for rest and relaxation. 

Note: The estimated transfer time from Diglipur Island to Port Blair is 10 – 12 hours.

Overnight stay in Port Blair: Arrive in Port Blair and proceed to the hotel. Overnight stay will be at the hotel. 

Meal Included: Breakfast

Morning: Get ready for an exciting trip to Havelock Island (Swaraj Dweep). The island is famous for its beaches, nightlife, water sports, and lush greenery. Our tour coordinator will pick you up from the hotel and transfer to Haddo Jetty/Phoenix Bay. 

Note 1: The morning cruise from Port Blair to Havelock starts at 7:30 AM for which you have to depart the hotel at 6:00 am – 6:30 am. If you want to take a later ferry from Port Blair to Havelock Island, then post booking, contact our team and we will try our best to accommodate your request. The timing of government ferry service is at 6:20 AM and 2:00 PM. 

At Haddo Jetty/Phoenix Bay: Board the catamaran at Phoenix Bay and take your seat. The estimated transfer time from Phoenix Bay to Havelock Island  is 1.5 to 2 hours. 

Note 2: The estimated travel time to reach Havelock from Port Blair is between 1.5 to 2.5 hours. Transfer time may also vary depending on sea conditions or weather.

Arrive in Havelock Island: Receive a welcome at the Havelock Jetty by our tour representative and transfer to your hotel. Check in at the hotel and relax in your room. 

Sunset at Radhanagar Beach: Witness the glorious sunset at Radhanagar Beach, which is one of the best spots for sunset in Andaman. If the tides are low, you can also enjoy swimming in the shallow waters and enjoy a walk on the beach. 

Sunset timing at Radhanagar Beach: 5:00 PM – 5:20 PM

Photography: Get professional complimentary beach photoshoot of yourself at Radhanagar Beach. Photography at any other place on Havelock Island will be charged

Back to hotel: Our tour coordinator will transfer you back to the hotel to rest and relax.

Overnight stay in Havelock Island

Morning: Today, you will go on a trip to Elephant Beach. You will receive pick up and transfer from the hotel to Havelock Jetty. Board a boat and cruise to Elephant Beach. The estimated travel time to reach Elephant Beach is 35 minutes. 

At Elephant Beach: Enjoy the crescent-shaped Elephant Beach which has smooth white sands, crystal-clear waters, and rich fringing coral reefs. Avail the free snorkelling session and dive in to explore the colourful marine life. Apart from snorkeling, you can enjoy other water activities at extra charges.

 Note

• Complimentary activities like snorkelling cannot be transferred to another day. No refund will be provided for complimentary activities, if not availed. 
• Keep your personal items like wallet, phone, cash, clothes etc in a safe place like a locker (available on Elephant Beach) 
• Complimentary activity (snorkelling) cannot be exchanged for any other activity. Carry cash in a waterproof bag for locker rentals, accessing changing rooms etc. The Internet might not be available to make digital payments.

Overnight Stay at Havelock Island: Our tour coordinator will drop you back to the hotel. 

Meal Included: Breakfast

Morning: Have breakfast at the hotel and check out from the property. Today,  you will be going to Neil Island (Shaheed Dweep). Get hotel pickup and transfer  to Havelock Jetty and depart for Neil Island. 

At Neil (Shaheed Dweep Jetty): Our coordinator will welcome you to Neil Island. Get a swift transfer to your hotel within a few minutes. Check in at the hotel and unwind in your room. 

Natural Rock Formation: Watch the Natural Rock Formation (Howrah Bridge) and spot marine life during the low tide. This unique limestone structure is surrounded by  small circular ponds where you can spot colourful fish, corals, starfishes, and crabs.

Laxmanpur Beach No. 1: Then we proceed to Laxmanpur Beach no 1 and enjoy the tropical beauty. The sunset time on the beach is 5:15 PM – 5:30 PM. Watch a beautiful sunset, click photos, and if the sky is clear, you can also do stargazing.

Overnight stay in Neil Island (Shaheed Dweep): Get a car transfer from the beach to the hotel. 

Meal Included: Breakfast

Morning: Have breakfast at the hotel and depart for Bharaptur Beach, a coastal paradise with abundant coral reefs and amazing water sports.

At Bharatpur Beach: Cherish a therapeutic walk on the beach and click photos of yourself. You can also try water activities like kayaking, parasailing, snorkelling, and glass bottom boat ride. (payable directly by you.)  

Cruise to Port Blair: Check out from the hotel and transfer to Neil Jetty. Board the cruise departing for Port Blair. Our team’s representative will guide you throughout the step. The estimated transfer time is 1.5 to 2 hours. 

Arrive in Port Blair: Disembark at Phoenix Bay Jetty and depart for Aberdeen Bazaar for a shopping trip. 

At Aberdeen Bazaar: Go souvenir shopping in Andaman’s famous Aberdeen Bazaar. Look out for pearls, Nicobarese mats, shell jewelleries, organic spices, miniature ships models, tribal masks, etc.

Hotel Drop-off: Later, our tour coordinator will drop you off at the hotel for the night stay. 

Overnight stay in Port Blair 

Meal Included: Breakfast

Morning: Have breakfast and check out from the hotel. Please note that hotels have an early check out. If your flight is delayed or scheduled in the afternoon, keep your luggage in the lobby or reception area. 

Airport Drop-off: Our tour coordinator will offer you a seamless transfer to the airport. The estimated transfer time from the hotel to the airport is within 30 minutes.

Important Note LTC Reimbursement 

1. Hotel and food expenses are not eligible for reimbursement under LTC (Leave Travel Concession).

2. Please book your flight only through Ashoka Travels or Balmer Laurie to ensure eligible for LTC reimbursement. 

3. If you plan to claim LTC, use government ferry services for inter-island travel in Andaman Island. However, in some cases, reimbursement for private ferry tickets is generally allowed. You will need to submit the original hard copy of the ticket to your office/government department.
