Havelock’ed in Andaman

Detailed Itinerary(4 Nights and 5 Days)

(2 nights Port Blair, 1 night Havelock, 1 day Neil Island)

Airport Pickup: After arrival at Veer Savarkar Airport, get airport transfer to the hotel. The time to reach the pre-booked hotel from the airport is approximately 25 to 30 minutes. 

Afternoon (2 PM – 3 PM): Check in the hotel, have lunch and afterwards leave for the first day of sightseeing in Port Blair (Sri Vijaya Puram).  

Note: If you happen to arrive early to the hotel, an early check in is subject to availability. In that case, kindly wait in the lobby. 

Cellular Jail: The infamous Kala Pani, this jail was used to hold Indian revolutionaries captive. The museum inside the jail carries artefacts, documents, photographs, etc of the prisoners. 

Optional: Light & Sound Show.

• Cellular Jail is closed on Mondays and national holidays. 
• Cellular Jail gets closed between 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM.
• Light & Sound Show Timings: 5:50 PM (Hindi) & 6:50 PM (English)

Evening (5:00 PM): Our tour coordinator will drive you to Corbyn’s Cove beach. The beach is just 15 minutes away from Cellular Jail. Here you can take a walk, relish snacks from food stalls, and ride a banana boat. The best part here is to watch a beautiful sunset and click photos.

Back to Hotel: After enjoying sunset in Corbyn’s Cove beach, head back to the hotel for an overnight stay. 

Meal Included: Lunch

Morning (8:30 am – 9:00 am): After breakfast at the hotel, prepare for a delightful Havelock Island excursion. Get a seamless transfer from your hotel to Phoenix Bay/Haddo Jetty. The transfer time from hotel to jetty is approximately 9 kms from Port Blair and takes about 25 – 30 minutes to reach. 

Cruise to Havelock: Upon reaching Phoenix Bay/Haddo Jetty jetty, you will board a speedboat/ferry and sail to Havelock Island (Swaraj Dweep). Havelock Island is famous for its spectacular beaches, rich coral population, greenery and watersports. 

Note: The estimated travel time to reach Havelock from Port Blair is between 1.5 to 2.5 hours. Transfer time may also vary depending on sea conditions and weather. 

Hotel Check in (2:00 PM -3:00 PM): Check in the hotel and prepare for a beach outing. Head out for Radhangar Beach, which is one of Asia’s best beaches and India’s #1 beach. Its powdery soft ivory sand, turquoise waters, and rich vegetation is a sight for sore eyes. Relax and watch a serene sunset on Radhangar beach. 

Things to Know: 

1. In 2004, Time Magazine named Radhangar Beach as the “Best Beach in Asia”. 
2. It also has the prestigious Blue Flag certification, which solidifies environmental cleanliness, safety, and management of this beach. 
3. Do not litter on Radhangar beach or anywhere in Andaman, otherwise you will have to pay a fine of up to INR 5000/-. Make sure to throw any garbage in the designated bins.

Later you can go for dinner around the many restaurants/cafes located in close proximity to Radhanagar beach. 

Hotel Transfer: Post beach exploration, sunset viewing, and dinner, get transfer to hotel  or an overnight stay.  

Meal Included: Breakfast

Morning: Enjoy breakfast at the hotel and get ready for a beach outing. Enjoy a boat tour to Elephant Beach from Havelock Island’s jetty. The boat ride takes about 20-30 minutes and cruising on the waters you will reach the water sports hubs of Havelock Island. 

Note: If you’re interested in going for a guided jungle trek to reach Elephant beach, kindly inform us at the time of booking. The trekking time is approximately 45 mins to 60 mins. 

At Elephant Beach: Watch beautiful shallow turquoise waters, a long stretch of white sand, and profuse greenery. Elephant beach has many water activities like parasailing, jet skiing, kayaking, etc. Other popular activities at Elephant beach are sea walking, banana boat ride, and glass bottom boat ride. 

Enjoy a free of charge snorkelling session and get to witness beautiful corals and marine life underwater. 

Note: 

1. The jet ski rental on Elephant beach ranges between ₹600 to ₹700/-  per person and the ride lasts for 10 to 15 minutes.  
2. Carry towels, flip flops, and an extra pair of clothes to the beach. 
3. The cost of water sports like jet skiing, parasailing, etc. is not included in the package.</span

Back to Havelock: Get on the boat and cruise back to Havelock Jetty. Thereafter you can enjoy dining out at a cafe/restaurant in Havelock Island. Post dinner, return to the hotel for an overnight stay. 

Meal Included: Breakfast

Morning: After breakfast, get ready to experience the tranquil and soul-soothing beach: Vijay Nagar Beach. (also known as Beach No. 5). 

Vijay Nagar Beach is approximately 9.3 kms away from Havelock Island’s main centre and takes 20 minutes to reach.  

Enjoy a relaxing walk on the beach and soak in its tranquil surroundings. Relax under the shacks or under a tree shade. The beach has a relaxed vibe and isn’t as crowded as the other beaches on Havelock Island. 

Afternoon: Post beach exploration, get to Havelock Jetty and transfer back to Port Blair. Check-in and relax at the hotel.  

Evening (5:00 PM): Head out for shopping at Sagarika Emporium/Aberdeen Bazaar and have delicious local cuisine at a top-rated restaurant in Port Blair. (Optional)

Sagarika Emporium is a government-run store that sells wooden items, seashells, tribal masks, handicrafts. The timings are: 9 AM – 7 PM 

Aberdeen Bazaar is the main shopping area of Port Blair. You will find many shops here selling clothes, spices, handicrafts and other souvenirs. (Timings 9 AM – 9 PM)

Back to hotel: After shopping and dining out, return to the hotel for an overnight stay.

Morning: Breakfast at hotel and get transferred to Veer Savarkar International Airport. Before the check out, double check all your belongings/bags and after that wait in the hotel lobby. 

Make sure to complete the hotel check out positively by 12 PM or earlier depending on your flight schedule. 

Hotel to Airport Transfer time: 25 – 30 minutes (approximately)

The 4 nights 5 days Andaman tour of Havelock ends here. Return home with lifelong memories of the Andaman Islands.
