Detailed Itinerary(7 Nights and 8 Days)

(2 Nights Port Blair (Sri Vijaya Puram) — 2 Nights Long Island — 3 Nights Diglipur Island)

Welcome to Andamans: Fly down to Port Blair via morning/noon flight and arrive at Veer Savarkar Airport. Our tour coordinator will pick you up and transfer you to your pre-booked hotel. Estimated transfer duration from airport to hotel: 20 -25 minutes

Hotel Check-in: Arrive at the hotel and complete your check in formalities. Following that, head to your room and refresh yourself. Make yourself comfortable and relax until your next pick up. 

Late Afternoon (4:00 PM): Depart for Cellular Jail (Kala Pani) and explore the historic edifice which once served as a colonial prison. The museum inside the premises displays photos, documents and personal items belonging to convicts. 

Light & Sound Show: Watch a fascinating Light & Sound Show that will provide more insights into the history of this monument. This show lasts up to 45 minutes.

Please Note:

• Cellular Jail is closed on Mondays and national holidays. 
• Closed for Lunch Break: 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM.
• Light & Sound Show Timings: 5:50 PM (Hindi) & 6:50 PM (English)
• (Non-professional) Camera charges: INR 200/- per camera.
• Professional Camera charges: INR 1000/- per camera.

Aberdeen Bazaar (Optional): Just a few meters away from Cellular Jail, go shopping in Aberdeen Bazaar. You can buy souvenirs like coir items, organic spices, coconut products, tribal marks, miniature ships, handicrafts etc. 

Overnight stay in Port Blair:  The sightseeing for day one concludes in Port Blair. Get a smooth transfer back to the hotel.

Early Morning (4:00 – 5:00 AM): Wake up early in the morning for an excursion from Port Blair to Long Island. The travel involves going from South to North Andamans via  several islands of Middle Andamans. 

Note: Keep some snacks and water for the journey. 

Towards Rangat: Taking the Andaman Trunk Road (ATR), our convoy will be  crossing the  lush jungles, Jarawa Tribal Reserve and Rangat. Afterwards, you will reach Yerrata jetty. 

Note: Remember no photography is allowed while crossing the Jarawa Tribal Reserve. 

At Yerrata Jetty: Board a government ferry and sail towards Long Island. The approximate time can be 50 – 60 minutes. The ferry’s schedule will be shared in advance by our team. 

Arrive in Long Island: Check in at your pre-booked hotel in Long Island and proceed to your room. Enjoy your meal of the day and rest well. 

Overnight stay in Long Island. 

Meal Included: Lunch

Morning: Enjoy breakfast at the hotel and head out to explore the top beaches of Long Island. Away from the crowds of beaches in South Andaman, the beaches of North Andaman are pristine, untouched, beautiful and perfect for basking in the tropical splendour. 

Transfer to Beach: Our coordinator will pick you up and drop you off at Long Island jetty where you will get on a boat and ride towards Lalaji Bay Beach. The estimated transfer time is 20 to 30 minutes. Enjoy the view of turquoise waters as your boat reaches its destination. 

At Lalaji Bay Beach: Disembark from the boat and start exploring Lalaji Bay Beach. It’s a pristine hidden gem in North Andaman. The beach is not commercialised yet and you will not find any shops or stalls or hawkers on the beach. Spend your time by soaking up the sunlight. Stroll on the shore side (only during low tide) and enjoy the beauty of this beach.

At Mark Bay Beach: Next, proceed to Mark Bay Beach, an offbeat spot to enjoy sand, sun, and the turquoise water. You can lay on a beach mat and sunbathe, or sit under the shade of a tree and enjoy a book.

Guitar Island: Head for a quick excursion to nearby Guitar Island which is approximately 15-20 minutes away on a clear day. The island is shaped like an acoustic guitar and is surrounded by clean turquoise waters. The top activities to do here are swimming and snorkeling in shallow areas.  

Note: 

1. You will not find any commercial facilities on Guitar island as it is largely uninhabited. 
2. Guitar Island is only accessible during the low tide. 
3. All boat rides are subject to weather conditions and government directives.

Return to Long Island: After this long day of beach plus island excursion, return to your hotel for an overnight stay. 

 Meal Included: Breakfast

Morning: After breakfast, check out from the hotel and transfer to the jetty. From here, you will board a government ferry and travel to Rangat. The estimated transfer time is 1 to 1 hour 15 minutes. 

Note: Travelling from Long Island to Diglipur will be a combination of government ferry + private transfers by road. 

At Yerrata Jetty: You will disembark the ferry at Yerrata Jetty (in Rangat) and from here get a car transfer to reach Rangat Town and eventually arrive in Diglipur Island. On your way, you will stop at scenic points to click photos and have refreshments (at your expense) 

Arrive in Diglipur Island: You will reach Diglipur around 5:00 PM to 5:30 PM (sunset hours). Therefore, check in your hotel and rest well to shrug off travel fatigue after the long journey. 

Overnight Stay in Diglipur Island

Meal Included: Breakfast

Morning: Enjoy a delicious breakfast at the hotel and proceed for the Twin Island (Ross & Smith) excursion. You will get a transfer to Aerial Bay Jetty which is about 9 km from main Diglipur town. 

Note: Ross & Smith islands lie 20 kms from Diglipur and take 30 – 35 minutes to reach. 

Towards Ross & Smith Islands: From Aerial Bay Jetty, board a ferry and sail towards the Twin Island. These islands are hidden gems of North Andaman. They are connected by a strip of white sandbank that forms a single group of islands. Surrounded by aquamarine waters with fringing corals and marine life, enjoy a soothing time on its beach. 

Note: Ross & Smith Islands aren’t commercialised yet. Hence, you won’t find any commercial tourist activities here. There are a few bamboo huts and changing rooms for visitors. If you are good at snorkelling, you may snorkel in shallow water sections to spot the corals. But do keep in mind there are no guides or lifeguards on its beach.

Afternoon (2 – 3 PM): Depart from the Twin Island and head back to Aerial Bay. From here you will go on a beach excursion to Kalipur Beach, famous for turtle nesting. The sand here is slightly greyish in shade with pebbles and is surrounded by turquoise waters. The beach is untouched by any commercial activity, so you won’t find any shacks, cafes or water sports. 

Note: Turtle Nesting is a popular activity to see at Kalipur Beach, but it’s only available from October to March. You can watch Leatherback, Hawksbill, Green, and Olive Ridley turtles. 

Evening: Return to your hotel in Diglipur for an overnight stay. 

Meal Included: Breakfast

Morning: After breakfast at the hotel get ready for jungle trek experience. Receive a pick up ride from our tour coordinator and travel first to Lamiya Bay where the Saddle peak trek begins. The estimated transfer time is 15 – 20 minutes. 

At Trailhead (Beginning point of Saddle Peak Jungle Trek): Start trekking through the lush tropical jungles. While trekking through the jungle, you will see exquisite birds, beautiful flowers and plants.

Note: The entire trek up to Saddle peak is approximately 8 km (roundtrip – 16 km) and takes 5 to 7 hours. Do this only if your physical fitness allows, otherwise you can do a small trek in the jungle and return.   

At Lamiya Bay Beach: After the tiring trek, cool off at Lamiya Bay Beach where you can sit back and relax. There are almost zero crowds on this beach which makes it ideal for those seeking solitary bliss. There are no cafes, shacks etc so carry your own eatables and water.

Return to Diglipur: After this adventurous and tiring day, get back to the hotel and relax. 

Overnight stay in Diglipur 

Meal Included: Breakfast

Morning: Have breakfast at the hotel and check out. Today you will return to Port Blair. Your travel flow will be from Diglipur to Mayabunder, Rangat, Baratang, Jarawa Tribal Reserve and finally you will enter Port Blair. On your way, you will stop by scenic locations to rest and click pictures. 

The estimated transfer time is 9 – 12 hours.

Late Evening: Arrive at the hotel and head to your room. If time and your energy levels permits, go and explore Corbyn’s Cove beach (optional). 

Overnight stay in Port Blair. 

Meal Included: Breakfast

Morning: Enjoy breakfast and complete the hotel check out. Our tour coordinator will drop you off at Veer Savarkar Airport. The average transfer time from the hotel to the airport  is 15 – 20 minutes. 

Depart from Port Blair: Board your flight and return home safely with cherished memories of your 7 nights 8 days Andaman tour.
