Detailed Itinerary(4 Nights and 5 Days)

2 Nights Port Blair — 2 Nights Havelock Island

Morning: Arrive at Port Blair airport via morning flight and you will be greeted by our tour coordinator. Transfer to the hotel, check in, and relax in your room. The estimated transfer time from the airport to the hotel is within 30 minutes. 

Visit Cellular Jail: The infamous Kala Paani jail or the Cellular jail was a colonial prison  (now a national memorial) is a famous historic sight to explore in Port Blair. The Cellular jail stands as a symbol of British oppression and resistance displayed by Indian freedom fighters. You can explore the architecture of the Cellular jail and explore its museum. 

Note: 

The standard check in time Port Blair hotel is between 2:00 PM – 3:00 PM 

The estimated transfer time from the airport to the hotel in Port Blair is 20-25 minutes. 

All transfers are in a private and spacious car. 

Tea Break: Post Cellular Jail exploration, enjoy a cup of tea and catch the sweeping views of the sunset and the sea.   

Light & Sound Show: Get seated for the Light & Sound show which narrates the history of Cellular Jail and the life of prisoners. The strategic use of storytelling, sound effects and laser lighting is done to fascinate and educate the audiences about the history of the place.

Please Note:

1. Cellular Jail is closed on Mondays and national holidays. 
2. Closed for Lunch Break: 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM.
3. Light & Sound Show Timings: 5:50 PM (Hindi) & 6:50 PM (English)
4. (Non-professional) Camera charges: INR 200/- per camera.

Return to Hotel: After Cellular Jail and the Light & Sound Show, you will be dropped-off at the hotel. 

Overnight stay in Port Blair.

Meal Included: Lunch

Hotel Pickup: After breakfast at the hotel, you will be transferred to Aberdeen Jetty from where you will take a boat to Ross Island followed by North Bay Island. 

The transfer time from Aberdeen Island to Ross Island is approximately 15 minutes. 

At Ross Island: With no commercial establishments or vehicular traffic, Ross island can be easily covered on foot. You will see colonial ruins of British administrative buildings, Chief’s Commissioner home, remnants of an old church, and giant Banyan and Peepal trees. There are also Japanese bunkers built by the Japanese imperial army. There are deer and peacocks that you will spot roaming around.

Next, we move to North Bay Island (Coral Island) which is around 30 – 35 minutes away. 

North Bay Island: The North Bay island is a place for water sports enthusiasts and marine adventures. The island features crystal clear waters, rich coral belts and exquisite marine life. Water sports like parasailing, kayaking, snorkelling, diving, glass bottom boat ride, and seabed walking are quite popular at the island.

Things to know:

• Make sure to carry beach essentials like swimwear, flip flops, towels, sunglasses, reef-safe sunscreen etc. for the North Bay island trip. 
• North Bay Island offers facilities of washrooms, changing rooms, rental lockers, etc. 
• Always carry cash in a waterproof bag to make payments towards refreshments, water sports, or locker rental. Digital payments may not be available due to lack of stable internet connection. 

Depart from North Bay Island: Get on a boat and depart from North Bay Island to reach Aberdeen Jetty. From the jetty, you will transfer to the hotel. 

Overnight stay in Port Blair.

Meal Included: Breakfast

Morning: Wake up and get ready for the Havelock island excursion. You will receive a transfer from the hotel to Haddo/Phoenix Bay Jetty. 

Note 1: The morning cruise from Port Blair to Havelock starts at 7:30 AM for which you have to depart the hotel at 6:00 am – 6:30 am. If you want to take a later ferry from Port Blair to Havelock Island, then post booking, contact our team and we will try our best to accommodate your request. The timing of government ferry service is at 6:20 AM and 2:00 PM. 

At Haddo/Phoenix Bay: Get assistance from our tour coordinator and board the high-speed ferry to Havelock Island. Enjoy the views of the Bay of Bengal as you cruise towards Havelock (Swaraj Dweep). 

Note 2: The estimated travel time to reach Havelock from Port Blair is between 1.5 to 2.5 hours. Transfer time may also vary depending on sea conditions or weather.

Arrive in Havelock Island: Our on-ground staff will welcome you on Havelock Island and transfer to your hotel. Check in at the hotel and relax in your room. 

Sunset at Radhanagar Beach:The sightseeing in Havelock begins with Radhanagar Beach. Here you get to enjoy a relaxing time along with the gorgeous vows of the sunset. The pink and orange sky, cool wind and gentle sea waves crafts a perfect scenery at the beach, ideal for beach walks. 

Sunset timing at Radhanagar Beach: 5:00 PM – 5:20 PM

Photography: Get a professional complimentary beach photoshoot of yourself at Radhanagar Beach. Photography at any other place on Havelock Island will be charged.

Back to hotel: Our tour coordinator will drop you back to the hotel to rest and relax. 

Meal Included: Breakfast/Lunch 

Overnight stay in Havelock Island

Morning: Today you will be going for a beach adventure. Get picked up from the hotel and transfer to Havelock Jetty. From there, board a boat and cruise to Elephant Beach. The estimated travel time is 35 minutes. 

At Elephant Beach: Set foot on the crescent-shaped Elephant Beach featuring white sands, crystal-clear waters, and abundant corals. Avail your free snorkelling session and dive in to witness the mesmerising aquatic world. The corals are visible at a depth of 1-2 meters as you dive into the water. Apart from snorkeling, you can enjoy other water activities at extra charges. 

Note

• Complimentary activities like snorkelling cannot be transferred to another day. No refund will be provided for complimentary activities, if not availed. 
• Keep your personal items like wallet, phone, cash, clothes etc in a safe place like a locker (available on Elephant Beach) 
• Complimentary activity (snorkelling) cannot be exchanged for any other activity. Carry cash in a waterproof bag for locker rentals, accessing changing rooms etc. The Internet might not be available to make digital payments.

Return to hotel: After having a joyful day at Elephant Beach, return to the hotel for an overnight stay. 

Overnight Stay in Havelock Island 

Meal Included: Breakfast

Morning: Get your breakfast at the hotel and proceed for the check out. Kindly note that hotels in Port Blair have an early check out, so if your flight is delayed or scheduled in the afternoon, keep your luggage in the lobby or reception area. 

Airport Drop-off: Our tour coordinator will offer you a seamless transfer to the airport. We wish you a safe and happy return. The estimated transfer time from the hotel to the airport is within 30 minutes.

Important Note LTC Reimbursement 

1. Hotel and food expenses are not eligible for reimbursement under LTC (Leave Travel Concession).

2. Please book your flight only through Ashoka Travels or Balmer Laurie to ensure eligible for LTC reimbursement. 

3. If you plan to claim LTC, use government ferry services for inter-island travel in Andaman Island. However, in some cases, reimbursement for private ferry tickets is generally allowed. You will need to submit the original hard copy of the ticket to your office/government department.
