Detailed Itinerary(7 Nights and 8 Days)

(3 Nights Port Blair (Sri Vijaya Puram) — 2 Nights Diglipur — 1 Night Havelock (Swaraj Dweep) — 1 Night Neil Island (Shaheed Dweep))

Airport Pickup: Land at Port Blair airport where our tour coordinator will welcome you and escort you to the hotel. Upon reaching the hotel, check in and proceed to your room for rest. The estimated transfer time from the airport to the hotel is within 30 minutes. 

Visit Cellular Jail: The first point of interest for the day is Cellular Jail, a colonial prison where Indian freedom fighters were held captive. Explore the jail premises which comprises of three stories, a museum and an art gallery, 

Note: 

The standard check in time Port Blair hotel is between 2:00 PM – 3:00 PM 

The estimated transfer time from the airport to the hotel in Port Blair is 20-25 minutes. 

All transfers are in a private and spacious car. 

Tea Break: Refresh yourself with a cup of tea and catch the sweeping views of the sunset and the sea.   

Light & Sound Show: Gather for a Light & Sound show which narrates the history of Cellular Jail and the life of prisoners, using impeccable sound effects and laser lighting.

Please Note:

1. Cellular Jail is closed on Mondays and national holidays. 
2. Closed for Lunch Break: 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM.
3. Light & Sound Show Timings: 5:50 PM (Hindi) & 6:50 PM (English)
4. (Non-professional) Camera charges: INR 200/- per camera.

Return to Hotel: After Cellular Jail and the Light & Sound Show, you will be dropped-off at the hotel.

Early Morning: Start your day early for Diglipur Island visit. Our tour coordinator will pick you up from the hotel and transfer you to Jirkatang Check Post. From there, our convoy will leave, taking the Andaman Trunk Road and cross through the Jarawa Tribal Reserve. On the Diglipur island route, we will stop at Baratang Island and explore Limestone Caves. 

Note: The distance between Port Blair to Diglipur Island. The estimated transfer time can take between 9 to 12 hours. 

Photography in Jarawa Tribal Reserve is strictly prohibited. 

Hotel check in: After a long day of travel, check in the hotel and relax in your room 

Overnight stay in Diglipur Island. 

Meal Included: Breakfast

Morning: Today, you will be going to the Twin Islands of Andaman – Ross & Smith Islands. Have breakfast at the hotel and transfer to Aerial Bay Jetty. Board a boat and cruise towards Ross & Smith Island. 

Note: Ross & Smith islands lie 20 kms from Diglipur and take 30 – 35 minutes to reach. 

Arrive at Ross & Smith Islands: The twin islands Ross & Smith are the key attraction in North Andamans. Walk on the sliver of sand that joins the two islands and is only visible during low tide. The islands have rich coral reefs and marine life. Take in the tranquillity and unhurried vibe of the island. 

Note: Ross & Smith Islands are an offbeat location in Andaman hence you will not find any commercial activities on its beaches. There are bamboo huts and changing rooms for visitors. If you are good at snorkelling, you may snorkel to witness the beautiful corals. But, do keep in mind there are no guides or lifeguards on this beach.

Afternoon ( 2 – 3 PM): Return to Diglipur by reaching Aerial Bay Jetty. From here, you will visit Kalipur Beach, one of the best beaches in Diglipur Island. The colourful corals and spectacular marine life, everything about this beach is beautiful. You may also witness turtle nesting.  

Note: Turtle Nesting is a popular activity to do at Kalipur Beach but it’s only available from October to March.  You can watch Leatherback, Hawksbill, Green, and Olive Ridley turtles.

Evening: Return to your hotel to catch a good night’s sleep.

Morning: Start your day early and check out from the hotel. Make sure to pack some snacks for the journey as there are no commercial establishments. The Morrice Dera beach, near Mayabunder is a 2 hour drive. 

Morrice Dera Beach: Relax on Morrice Dera beach, one of the best off-beat beaches in Andaman. Explore the twin rock at Morrice Dera which offers nice shade to sit back and relax. 

Towards Port Blair: We will continue our journey to the South and cross Rangat and Baratang on our way. Upon arrival in Port Blair, you will get a hotel drop-off by our tour coordinator. Go ahead and relax in your room.

Morning: Starting off early, get a pick up from the hotel and transfer to Haddo/Phoenix Bay Jetty. You will board a high-speed and will be off to Havelock Island (Swaraj Dweep). 

Note: The morning cruise from Port Blair to Havelock starts at 7:30 AM for which you have to depart the hotel at 6:00 am – 6:30 am. If you want to take a later ferry from Port Blair to Havelock Island, then post booking, contact our team and we will try our best to accommodate your request. The timing of government ferry service is at 6:20 AM and 2:00 PM. 

At Haddo/Phoenix Bay: Our tour representative will help you board the ferry after which you will cruise to Havelock Island. Enjoy your sea journey and admire the views. 

Note: The estimated travel time to reach Havelock from Port Blair is between 1.5 to 2.5 hours. Transfer time may also vary depending on sea conditions or weather.

Welcome to Havelock Island: Our on-ground team’s representative will greet you and transfer to the hotel. Check in and relax in your room until the next pick up.  

Sunset at Radhanagar Beach: No Havelock Island trip is completed without a visit to Radhanagar Beach. It is one of the best sunset spots in all of Andamans. You will be mesmerised by its pristine beauty and serenity which is ideal for taking peaceful beach walks. 

Sunset timing at Radhanagar Beach: 5:00 PM – 5:20 PM

Back to hotel: Our tour coordinator will drop you and your family back to the hotel.

Overnight stay in Havelock Island

Morning: Today, you will be transferred to Havelock Jetty and board a cruise to Neil Island (Shaheed Dweep). The estimated transfer time between Havelock Island to Neil Island is  1.5 – 2 hours (with ideal weather and sea conditions). 

Neil Island: Get picked up and dropped-off from Neil Island jetty to the hotel by our tour representative. Check in at the hotel and move to your room to refresh yourself. Later, we will begin sightseeing on Neil Island. 

Natural Rock Formation (Howrah Bridge): The most photographed natural attraction in Neil island is the Natural Bridge or Howrah Bridge. It is formed by oceanic activity that has made a bridge-like structure. There are ponds around the bridge where you can see marine creatures, making it nature’s own aquarium.  

Please note that Howrah Bridge is only accessible during low tide. If the tides are high, we will go straight to Laxmanpur Beach no. 1

Things to Know about Natural Rock Formation
– You can spot marine life like colorful fish, corals, starfishes, and crabs in the small circular ponds.  

– The rocks can be slippery, so keep your feet firmly on the ground. 

– Wear shoes with a strong grip, and if possible wear waterproof shoes. 

Sunset at Laxmanpur Beach No. 1: Look out for the scenic sunset at Laxmanpur Beach No. 1. During the golden hours, the place is abuzz with crowds lining up to catch a glimpse of the sunset, the timings of which are between 5:15 pm to 5:20 pm.  After sunset, our tour representative will drop you off at the hotel.

Overnight stay in Neil Island 

Meal Included: Breakfast

Morning: Breakfast at the hotel and get ready for another beach excursion on Neil island. Today, we will take you to Neil island’s most lively beach: Bhatarpur Beach. This beach is famous for rich coral reefs, water sports, and coastal beauty. 

At Bharatpur Beach: Walk on the powdery soft sand and enjoy clicking photos at the lagoon area. There are plenty of water sports that you can try here like parasailing, kayaking, and speed boat ride. (payable directly by you.) 

Cruise to Port Blair: Check out from the hotel and transfer to Neil Jetty.  Board the cruise and depart for Port Blair. The estimated transfer time is 1.5 to 2 hours. 

Arrive in Port Blair: Our tour representative in Port Blair will pick you up from  Phoenix Bay Jetty. You can then head for Aberdeen Bazaar for a shopping trip. 

At Aberdeen Bazaar: Explore some great souvenirs in Aberdeen Bazaar, which is Port Blair’s famous market place. You can shop for sea shell jewelleries, organic spices, tribal masks, etc.

Hotel Drop-off: Our tour coordinator will drop you off at the hotel for the night stay.

Morning: Have an early breakfast and check out from the hotel. Please remember that if your flight is delayed or scheduled in the afternoon, you have to keep your luggage in the lobby or reception area. 

Airport Drop-off: Our tour coordinator will provide a seamless transfer to the airport. We wish you a safe and happy return. The estimated transfer time from the hotel to the airport is within 30 minutes.

Important Note LTC Reimbursement 

1. Hotel and food expenses are not eligible for reimbursement under LTC (Leave Travel Concession).

2. Please book your flight only through Ashoka Travels or Balmer Laurie to ensure eligible for LTC reimbursement. 

3. If you plan to claim LTC, use government ferry services for inter-island travel in Andaman Island. However, in some cases, reimbursement for private ferry tickets is generally allowed. You will need to submit the original hard copy of the ticket to your office/government department.
