Detailed Itinerary(8 Nights and 9 Days)

3 Nights Port Blair (Sri Vijaya Puram) — 2 Nights Diglipur — 2 Nights Havelock Island (Swaraj Dweep) — 1 Night Neil Island (Shaheed Dweep)

Airport Pickup: Arrive at Veer Savarkar airport in Sri Vijaya Puram (Port Blair) and transfer to the pre-booked hotel. Estimated transfer time from airport to hotel is 25 to 30 minutes. 

Note: In case you arrive early before the hotel check in time, you can explore markets in Port Blair in the meantime. 

Afternoon (2 PM – 3 PM): Check in at the hotel and head to your room and shake off the jet lag. Enjoy your meal of the day and take a breather. 

Late Afternoon (4 PM): You will be visiting Cellular Jail and exploring its premises made like a cellular shape. Also explore its museum exhibiting convicts personal items, further you can explore photo galleries and library all located inside the Cellular Jail.

Light & Sound Show: Gather in the garden area to watch an engaging Light & Sound Show which provided historical facts and narration related to key events that happened in the monument. The show runs for 45 minutes.

• Cellular Jail is closed on Mondays and national holidays. 
• Closed for Lunch Break: 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM.
• Light & Sound Show Timings: 5:50 PM (Hindi) & 6:50 PM (English)

Overnight stay in Port Blair: After the Light Sound Show, you will be dropped off at your hotel.

Early Morning (4:00 – 5:00 AM): Today, you will begin your day early for Diglipur Island excursion from Port Blair. You will be journeying from South to North Andamans. An early morning start is important to cover the long distance between Port Blair and Diglipur Island. 

Things to Know: 

1. The first stopover will be at  Barantang Island, which is approximately 100 kms from Port Blair. The transfer time varies from 4 hours 45 minutes to 5 hours.
2. Continuing our journey from Baratang Island, we will reach Diglipur Island, which is 8 to 9 hours. 
3. Carry some snacks and drinks for your journey. 

Towards Baratang Island: Starting from Port Bair, we will first reach Jirkatang Check Post. From here, our convoy will enter the Jarawa Tribal Reserve. Crossing through thickets we will reach the jetty and from here, you will take a boat ride passing through the mangrove creeks. Afterwards, explore the Limestone Caves and resume your journey to Diglipur Island. 

The estimated travel time from Baratang Island to Diglipur Island is 8 to 9 hours. 

Arrive at Hotel: You will be dropped at the hotel’s gate. Proceed towards reception and complete your check in process. By the time you reach the hotel, it will already be late evening. Therefore, stay the night. 

Overnight stay in Diglipur Island

Morning: Say hello to a new day in Diglipur Island. Today, you will go for the famous Twin Islands (Ross & Smith Island excursion). First, have your breakfast at the hotel and get transferred to Aerial Bay (9 Km from Diglipur Island). 

At Aerial Bay: Get on a boat and proceed towards Ross & Smith Island which is 20 kms from Diglipur and take about 30 – 35 minutes to reach. 

At Ross & Smith Islands: Arrive at the Twin Islands connected by a sandbar. The two islands feature lush greenery, crystal-clear turquoise waters and nature’s trails. During the low tide, you can walk on the connecting sandbar. The underwater marine life around these islands are just as beautiful. Top activities to do at the Twin Islands are sunbathing, swimming/snorkelling (in the shallow sections), and beach walks. 

Note: 

1. If you plan to snorkel, carry your own gear. There aren’t any commercial stores or vendors on Ross & Smith Islands. 
2. If you don’t feel confident about swimming or snorkelling without a guide or an instructor, please avoid it.
3. There aren’t any restaurants, cafes or beach shacks on the Islands, so carry your own refreshments. 
4. A few bamboo huts and changing rooms are available for visitors.

Kalipur Beach (3 PM): Leave for Kalipur Beach excursion, one of the most tranquil beaches in North Andamans. Enjoy walking on its ashy toned sand and take in the tropical beauty, stay until 5:30 PM and you will spot a beautiful sunset here. The beach is also a site for turtle nesting. Spot turtles species like Leatherback, Hawksbill, Green, and Olive Ridley.

Note: 

1. Kalipur Beach isn’t commercialised yet, it’s rather a nesting site for turtles. The best time for watching turtles on Kalipur Beach is from October to March.
2. Kalipur Beach is 17 km apart from Diglipur Island and estimated travel time is 40 to 50 minutes.

Evening: Get transferred back to the resort in Diglipur for an overnight stay. 

Meal Included: Breakfast

Morning: Today, you will be heading back to Andaman’s capital city. Have your fill at the breakfast buffet and check out from the resort. With our tour coordinator, you will cross Mayabunder, Rangat, Baratang Island, Jarawa Tribal Reserve, and finally reach Port Blair. We will have stopovers enroute for rest and relaxation. 

Note: The estimated transfer time from Diglipur Island to Port Blair is 10 – 12 hours.

Late Evening: Arrive in Port Blair and proceed to the hotel. Overnight stay will be at the hotel. 

Meal Included: Breakfast

Morning: Prepare yourself for an exhilarating trip to Havelock Island (Swaraj Dweep). Known for its stunning beaches, carefree nightlife, water sports, and pleasant lush thickets. Our tour coordinator will pick you up from the hotel and transfer to Phoenix Bay. 

At Phoenix Bay: Board the high-speed catamaran at Phoenix Bay and settle in. You will start cruising at the scheduled time. Estimated transfer time from Phoenix Bay to Havelock Island  is 1.5 to 2 hours. 

Note: The cruises start sailing from Port Blair to Havelock from 7:30 am onwards. We will share the exact timings of the cruise with you beforehand.

At Havelock Jetty: You will reach Havelock jetty and disembark from your journey. Get transferred to your hotel and check in. Proceed to your room and take rest. 

Leisure Time: The rest of the day is free for leisure. You can go out and explore Swaraj Dweep market and enjoy dinner at a beachside cafe with a view. 

Overnight Stay in Havelock Island. 

Meal Included: Breakfast

Early Morning (4:30 AM): Depart for Kalapathar Beach for incredible sunrise views. Watch the first rays of sun illuminate the white sand, turquoise waters, black boulders and bathe the surrounding in an iridescent glow. Click photos and enjoy a morning jog at the beach.

Back to Hotel: Head back to the hotel to freshen up yourself and enjoy a delicious spread of breakfast buffet. 

Late Afternoon (4:00 PM): Head out for one of the most beautiful beaches in Andaman Islands: Radhanagar Beach. This beach is famous for its ethereal beauty and gorgeous sunsets. Arrive prior to sunset timing so you can secure ideal photo spots at the beach. 

Things to know about Radhanagar Beach

1. Radhanagar Beach is counted among the best beaches in Asia and number 1 in India. 
2. It was named as Asia’s best beaches in 2004 by Time Magazine. 
3. Radhanagar Beach received a Blue Flag certification for cleanliness, safety, water quality and environmental sustainability. 
4. Littering on this beach is strictly prohibited.

Overnight Stay at Havelock Island: Our tour coordinator will drop you back to the hotel. 

Meal Included: Breakfast

Morning: Today you will be going to Neil Island (Shaheed Dweep), the perfect place in Andaman to view rock formations and have a digital detox. Get transferred to Havelock Jetty and depart for Neil Island. 

Note: Havelock & Neil Island are 18 km away from each other. The time to complete this distance via cruise is  45 – 60 minutes. 

At Neil (Shaheed Dweep Jetty): Disembark at Neil Jetty and receive a smooth transfer to your hotel within a few minutes. Check in at the hotel and unwind. 

Afternoon (3:30 – 4:00 PM): Watch the Natural Rock Formation (Howrah Bridge) and spot marine life during the low tide. 

Note: 

1. The ideal time to visit Natural Rock Formation is during the low tide. During low tides, you will be able to see coral formations and other marine life like colorful fish, corals, starfishes, and crabs in the small circular ponds.  
2. The rocks can be slippery, so keep your feet firmly on the ground. 
3. Wear shoes with a strong grip, and if possible wear waterproof shoes.

Laxmanpur Beach No. 1: Proceed to Laxmanpur Beach no 1 and revel in the tropical beauty of this beach. Sunset viewing, photography and relaxing are top activities to do here.

Overnight stay in Neil Island (Shaheed Dweep): Receive a car transfer from the beach to the hotel and stay the night at the hotel. 

Meal Included: Breakfast

Morning: Breakfast at the hotel and transfer to Neil Jetty. Board a catamaran and cruise back to Port Blair. The transfer time from Neil Jetty and Port Blair is approximately 1.5 to 2 hours.

At Phoenix Bay: From here, get a smooth transfer to the hotel and check in.

Late Afternoon (4:30 PM): You will leave for a shopping trip in Port Blair. Explore its markets like Aberdeen Bazaar. You can buy jute and cane items, tribal decorations, coconut products, organic spices, etc. at Aberdeen. Also explore Sea Pearl Emporium, a popular souvenir store in Junglighat to buy sea shells, gemstones, pearls etc.

Overnight stay in Port Blair: Our tour coordination will attend you and drop you back to the hotel. 

Meal Included: Breakfast

Morning: Breakfast at the hotel and complete check out on time. Get airport transfer by our tour coordinator and reach Veer Savarakar Airport. The estimated transfer time is around 15 – 20 minutes. 

Departure: Your 8 days Andaman tour concludes here. Board your flight and return home with beautiful memories.
